Dell Power Button Not Working

I had a couple times where it froze and I was unable to even ctrl+alt+del and was able to just press the power button to power down. (technically I'm at work) and remove the panel to remove the battery. Did you unscrew and unplug the battery? Or did you just wait for it to drain? Dell support says I should just let it drain but it seems. Hey, I own a Dell Inspiron 530s tower system. For some days now, i tried powering it on but it aint turning on. I opened the machine, the light on the motherboard turns on green and power supply indicator at the back lights up green too. I think the power button is broken. Please any recommendations.

First time posting here, hopefully this is the correct sub forum xDRecently bought this new laptop to replace my 8 yr old acer. Need for speed hot pursuit download free. Couldn't be happier as I can play newer games now without be bound to my desktop. With reguards to the power button, there is no light to indicate that the machine is on and I can't seem to find any notification light indicating that the machine is in sleep mode.

Is this by design and if so is it due to cutting coners or is that some practical reason for such a design.Thank you in advance for any and all replies.
