Jul 13, 2016 All messages that flow through BizTalk Server flow through receive and send pipelines. Pipelines have different stages, and each stage can include pipeline components. Pipeline components and pipelines are two completely different entities. You build pipeline components and place them within a BizTalk pipeline.
Hello,I have created a solution which contains two projects. One is contain pipeline component and the other one is Pipeline.
Application is working fine. Now, I am trying to debug custom pipeline component but I couldn't.I have searched on Google and try below steps in my application but still I couldn't.I have attached exe, set the break point and file dropped in the IN folder. File dropped in the OUT folder but breakup didn't hit.I have also tried it.My Start external program is 'C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010SDKUtilitiesPipelineToolsPipeline.EXECommand line arguments is belowC:PersonalBizTalkProjectsBookDemoPOC.CustomPipelinePOC.CustomPipeline.CustomComponentImplementRecPipelineStudent.btp -dC:PersonalBizTalk ProjectsBookDemoPOC.CustomPipelinedd.xml -cI am not getting any error. Please let me know if I am missing something or some other way. Thanks, Mohit Dahiya. However, I can set before 'attach to process' point. When I set breakpoint, it will disable and showing message.
'The breakpoint will not currenlty be hit. No symbols have been loadedfor this document'One more thing I have noticed, there is no session bind to BTSNTSVC64.exe.Thanks, Mohit Dahiya. Hi,You can follow below steps:.
Build the pipeline components project. Place the pipeline components DLL in 'C:Program Files (x86)Microsoft BizTalk Server Pipeline Components' (or the location where BizTalk is installed) location and alos GAC the DLL.
Exit Visual Studio and open it again. Now open the pipeline in the pipelines project and make sure all the properties of custom pipeline component are there in place. Build pipelines project and GAC the DLL. Now go to the deployed application in BizTalk Admin Console. Stop the application and in resources select the Pipelines assembly, right click and select 'Modify' and select the Pipelines DLL.

Restart host instance. Put a break point in custom pipeline components code file, now in Visual Studio attach the thread to BTSNTSvc.exe or BTSNTSvc64.exe process. Drop your XML file and now it should hit the break point.
