Rome Total War Lag
Sep 05, 2013 This fix may help. Delete the preferences.script in there (this is your graphics settings and stuff – don’t worry it’ll be coming back soon.) 2). Right-click Total War: Rome 2 in your Steam library and make your way to the “local files” tab, where you can click the “verify game cache” option. Wait for a bit, because this will take a while.
Rome Total War Lag Spikes
Im running the game at 1920x1200 max settings with 4xAA and16xAF im running the version 1.5 my specs are in my sig and in the big battles i get bad lag with less then 20fps when zoomed out and turniung off AA doesnt help much still less then 30 fps my specs r in my sig so what gives. Surely i should be able to max out a 5 year old game.and if this games runs so bad then empire total war will get me single digit fps:cry:johnny27The game is single threaded so it won't take advantage of the cores on your CPU.
Quick question,I Have a laptop that runs RTW fairly low settings:1.4 Ghz processor, 768 Ram (256 + 512) and 64mb Video card.I have a problem that the screen in campaign map lags a lot and clicking build and training icons, changing taxes etc takes a while. Over the course of a campaign this can be very annoying. If I up the ram to 1GB will this make much of a difference or is it the limit of the processor and graphics that are holding me back?Any ideas would be welcome.Plan to buy a good desktop at some point in near future and see what RTW is like at full whack, currently on low battle resolution and most effects off or low, to keep it running fairly well on the laptop (sorry notebook).AuthorReplies.
I think your biggest problem is the CPU itself. IIRC, most of us felt by the time that RTW had been out a few months that you really needed about a 2 gHz CPU for a fairly satisfactory game experience.
Rome Total War Laggy Mouse
Similar to Hussarknight, I started playing the game on a 2.6 gHz P4 with 512 mB SDRAM & an nVidia 5200Fx with 128 mB memory. The strategy map commands for cities & unit moves on the strategy map were always fine.
